"Life to me is CHRIST" (Phillipians 1:21)
To prepare ourselves to renew our Vows the third time as an SPC Sister, we were so blessed to have three days retreats under the guidance of Sr Teresa Lau. Six of us gathered at Broronia Heights community and began our recollection from 29th January evening to 2nd February 2017.
Every morning, we had a guided mediation of 45 minutes with Sr Teresa, followed by a talk from the priest which was very prayerful and reflective. The topics were related to our Call to Discipleship, Consecrated Life, our SPC Vocation and the Three Evangelical Vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience. We had lots of time for personal prayers, reflections, and to be with Jesus. Adoration is the moment of intimate relationship for us. Together we gave thanks to God and praise Him for his many gifts to us: our vocation, our mission and above all his unfailing love to us.
Two years passed since we first professed our Vows, how? Wow! What can we say, if not “The LORD has done great things for us; indeed, we are glad !” (Ps126:3) and so, “my soul glorifies the Lord…” (Lk 1:46). I truly have experienced that it is through the power of the Holy Spirit that I desire to consecrate myself as a Sister of St. Paul de Chartres!
Appreciating our call, we want to praise the Lord unceasingly, and our hearts are filled with gratitude to the Congregation, to each and every one of the Sisters, our parents, and those who have helped us in our journey of faith as Sisters of St Paul de Chartres.
