Annual Retreat 2017 – Renew ourselves in the Spirit

27 June 2017

The silent atmosphere of the Retreat has brought the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres in Australia into intimacy with the Lord. The Annual Retreat which was held from 19th to 27th June, 2017 was a wonderful chance for all Sisters to reflect and renew themselves after a working year with full enthusiasm.

The Retreat Master was Fr. Errol Fernandez sj from India. During the retreat, the Sisters had an unforgettable time to deepen their relationship with the Lord and recall their own vocation which is the most significant motive for them to continue going on courageously in consecrated life. The theme of community life was repeated through all the talks which reminded the Sisters of their unique role in community life. This topic was presented with optimism in every aspect of community life in order to help the Sisters to reflect on their relationship with others in community and help to improve life in community.

The mercy of God reminded during the retreat impulsed the Sisters to move forward and approach to one another in love and forgiveness. After our retreat, we saw the same face from everyone but there were brilliant sparks reflected in their eyes. A new hope is formed to accompany the Sisters on their journey. The Sisters are the same but also not the same because they are now strengthened to continue walking with the Lord and proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom of God through their lives, the life of witness and love.
