Who can apply to be a Sister of St. Paul de Chartres
- Catholics who have a sincere, realistic and supernatural desire to serve God and neighbor in the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres
- have sufficient physical health to undertake the service of the poor
- have reached genuine maturity of mind and heart
How to become a Sister of St. Paul de Chartres ?
- get to know the Sisters and their Congregation through initial contacts and prayers to discern God’s calling
- apply to be a candidate for postulancy
- become a Postulant of the Congregation (at least 6 months and at most a year’s duration)
- become a Novice (Novitiate lasts 1 year, at most 2 years) and at the end of the Novitiate, takes temporary Vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience for 1 year
- become a Junior Sister (or Temporary Professed Sister). The Juniorate covers the whole period of temporary profession which normally lasts 5 years
- become a Finally Professed Sister (at the end of the 5th year of temporary profession) and commits herself to the 3 Vows perpetually to Jesus Christ and to the Congregation
- on-going formation continues for every Sister until she reaches the close of her earthly life and returns to God
